Für Elise … by Alice B. Clagett ..

  • Für Elise
  • Rapture
  • Godliness

Dear Ones,

When I was young, I used to like to play “Für Elise.” First, it was pretty easy to make it sound reasonably ok. And second, I mistakenly thought the title meant “For Alice.” Turns out ‘Elise’ is a French name meaning ‘pledged to God’, and a variant of the English name ‘Elizabeth’. One of my sisters is named Elizabeth. When I learned to play “Für Elise,” she was but a lovely glimmer in my parents’ eyes.

FUR ELISE

Anyway, I’ve been noticing my heart energy at play here in the third dimension. It flutters open and closed like the wings of a butterfly in flight:

RAPTURE

And here’s how I’m always hoping it will be, like the rapture of soaring, sans engine, on the great winds that sail over the mountain ranges of Earth:

GODLINESS

And here’s what Amara Tia Ann has to say about striving for perfection. To paraphrase: When we see that the ordinary is perfect just as it is, and we feel that to be ordinary is perfection, then we realize what Godliness truly is. (1)

So…. Maybe it’s all about awareness, rather than perfection? About noticing what my heart is up to at the mo?

In love, light and joy,
I Am of the Stars
